Leeona Lenore Prigmore, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on March 6, 1936, in Sanger, California, to her loving parents Irvin and Ethel Pitzer. Leeona was one of five sisters, preceded in death by her siblings Merrilyn Moles, Strelsa Valenti, Wilma Ulsh, and Irene Radman.
Leeona's life was filled with love, devotion, and passion. She married the love of her life, Elmer, and they shared many joyful years together until his passing. As a homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home for her family in Fresno.
Music was a significant part of Leeona's life, and she was an accomplished pianist. She continued to share her musical talent until her recent illness disabled her. Her melodic tunes brought joy and comfort to those around her.
Aside from her musical pursuits, Leeona had a creative spirit. She loved to paint, challenging herself with various artistic expressions. Word puzzles and bingo were also pastimes that she enjoyed, making cherished memories with family and friends during these activities.
Leeona's true strength and source of inspiration came from her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She was a devoted believer, finding comfort and hope in the promise of eternal life. Leeona's faith provided her with the reassurance that she would be reunited with her husband, family, and friends in the arms of her Savior.
Leeona leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her four children - Stephen, Loren, Liz, and Greg - along with their spouses, April, Corky, Sam, and Steve. She adored her seven grandchildren and doted on her twelve great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. Leeona Lenore Prigmore will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and the love she shared unconditionally with her family and friends.
