Sharon Lee Fisher
1942 - 2022

Sharon Fisher, 79, Fresno native, devoted wife and mother, passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2022. She served her country as a Navy nurse early in life. She was a part time teachers aid for Central Unified school district which allowed her to fulfill her dream as a stay-at-home mom raising two daughters. Married to Jerry Fisher, they celebrated 51 years together until his passing in 2018.

They enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time in the mountains, playing Nintendo and daily visits to the zoo over the years. They loved taking their grandkids to the zoo with every visit and introduced them to pink popcorn and animal cookies. Her passion for collecting dolls, antiques and stuff was never-ending. As an accomplished seamstress, she loved making doll clothes, skating costumes for her girls and other projects to supplement income for her family. She created replicas of popular clothes when money was tight for her children to wear to school.

She loved her children and her cats. She was very proud of raising two strong and independent girls who are living successful lives, even if they are not in Fresno anymore.

She is survived by daughter Kimberly Gregory, her husband Christopher Gregory, grandchildren Ashley and Andrew; daughter Jennifer Griffin, her husband Brian Griffin, and grandson Blake.

Donations in her memory may be sent to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo at
